Traditional classrooms to digital campuses: An aim of NEP 2020

Abstract: The National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 in India emphasizes the need to adopt innovative technologies in education to enhance accessibility, equity, quality and affordability. The traditional classroom model which has been the backbone of education for centuries, has undergone a drastic transformation in recent years due to the rapid advancements in digital technology. The COVID-19 pandemic further accelerated this transition highlighting the potential and necessity of digital education. The Indian government's National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 recognizes this need and envisions the integration of digital tools into all aspects of education. This paper delves into the role of technology in NEP 2020 and its influence on the shift from traditional classrooms to digital campuses. The shift from traditional classrooms to digital campuses presents both challenges and opportunities. The paper also examines how digital education can transform teaching and learning processes, ensuring inclusivity and quality education for ALL.
