A comparative analysis of dietary interventions in the management of autism spectrum disorder symptoms
Author(s): Dr. Elisabeth Hofer
Abstract: Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) is a complex neurodevelopmental disorder characterized by impairments in social interaction, communication difficulties, and repetitive behaviors. With no single treatment addressing all symptoms of ASD, various dietary interventions have emerged as complementary approaches to managing ASD symptoms. This study compares the efficacy of three major dietary interventions: gluten-free/casein-free (GFCF) diets, ketogenic diets, and supplementation with omega-3 fatty acids. By analyzing data from clinical trials and observational studies, this paper aims to assess the impact of these dietary interventions on ASD symptoms, focusing on behavioral outcomes, gastrointestinal (GI) symptoms, and cognitive improvements.
