Author(s): Dr. Matthias Wagner
Abstract: Music therapy has emerged as a promising complementary approach for the treatment of autism spectrum disorder (ASD). This systematic review examines the effectiveness of music therapy in improving communication, social interaction, emotional regulation, and behavioral outcomes in individuals with autism. This review synthesizes findings from various clinical trials and observational studies to provide evidence-based insights into the potential benefits of music therapy as part of autism treatment. The findings suggest that music therapy can significantly enhance communication skills and emotional regulation, though more research is needed to fully understand its long-term impact.
